My Bariatric Friendly Recipe List

This is my food list that I follow.
I am not a Doctor or Nutritionist.  So, please follow what they suggest.

I have made this list of meals to show that you can cook for your family and still
eat healthy.  Most all meals on my site can be Bari - Friendly.
I do use breadcrumbs in a few of my meals. But, I stay away from the Pastas, rice etc.

Bariatric Friendly is mainly to eat Protein and low carbs or good carbs coming from Veggies,
and NOT TO EAT Pasta, Rice, Breads, Cake/Sweets with gluten-wheat.
So, meals can be made without these ingredients.  (also, depending on your workout routine some might need more carbs. but again from good sources not stuff that's made from flour. or pre-packaged foods from supermarkets).  

I had the Bariatric Sleeve Surgery on July 26, 2016
Went from size 16W to a size 8.  Workout 4x + a week. (always did)
My Diabetes is under control.  No meds! My blood count was 8.4 now it's 5.5! Normal!
I use to take Synthriod for a Thyroid problems. Off those meds 2 weeks before surgery and didn't need them afterwards.  Off water pills.
I don't take any meds except for my Vitamins. B12, Biotin, multi vitamin and Calcium citrate with Vita D and Magnesium.

 I only eat 1 cup or 4 oz at every meal. No more that the palm of my hand or as big
as my Iphone.  and No! Not the huge Iphones. lol
I track my meals on My Fitness Pal and stay btw 1000 to 1200 calories a day.
I cook and freeze most of my meals. Easy to grab and microwave.
Especially, when family wants to eat fast food.  I have a freezer full of delicious homemade food!

Breakfast list

310 Chocolate Protein Shake
6 oz cold decaf Coffee, 2 ounce 2% milk, 1/4 frozen banana,
1 scoop of 310 Chocolate Protein and 2 ice cubes











Cottage Cheese 4 oz. with blueberry Polaner real fruit Jam and Almond Butter

Cottage Cheese 4 oz. with no sugar peache slices and Polaner real fruit Peach Jam




Many different Egg Omelettes.
1 Egg Omelettes with veggies and cheese_ feta or Munster.



Hard boiled Egg salad mix

Hard Boiled Egg with 3 crackers, 1oz cheese and honey mustard

Ezekiel Toast with Egg sunny side up  and  1/2 slice of cheese 
Ezekiel Toast with Almond butter and Jam
Ezekiel Toast with Cream Cheese and 1/4 banana

Lunch and Dinner See below for All meals on this site that can be change to Bari-Friendly.
Soups are without the pasta. I added chicken Meatball and or 1/4 white beans to replace the pasta and get more protein in.

I make a large Pot and freeze them into 8 oz servings.  So, this is my go to meal especially, if I am in a rush or don't know what I want to eat.   Meatballs can be made with chicken, turkey or beef your choice.

Cucuzza  and  Cheese ( no pasta. add 1/4 cup white beans)

Chili (same recipe as families!)
Minestrone (no pasta. add 2 little chicken Meatballs )


Italian Wedding (no Pasta. I add 3 little meatballs)
Zucchini Bolognese (no pasta add 1/4 cup white beans)
Zucchini Parm soup (no pasta add 1/4 cup white beans)

Portabella Stuffed Mushroom! (taste like Pizza!) I make 4 and it last in fridge for 5 days.
I use my Bolognese sauce, chili, Palermitana Sauce or cooking sauce with pepperoni.

Chicken Burgerfreeze them. Cook on BBQ or George Foreman Grill serve with salad
     


Meatballs, - I freeze them. Serve with Cooking Sauce



Meatloaf - Can freeze. served with gravy.

Roll Ups-
Virginia Ham 4 Slices with 1 oz cheese and honey Mustard
Roast Beef 3 slices with 1 oz swiss cheese and 1 tsp mayo
Mortadella 3 slices with 1 oz cheese and honey mustard

Salads after 1 year out.
My salad includes: 1/2 cup lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes, 3 slices cucumber,
2 baby carrots, small piece of roasted peppers, 1 ounce of cheese, 1/4 chopped apple

Add:
Grilled Chicken 3-4 oz
2 - 4 Slices Ham
Hard boiled egg and 1oz feta and 5 cooked Stringbeans
3-4 Shrimp scampi

(if you don't mind having some breadcrumb, when i eat this I make sure I count the carbs in the breadcrumb to my day carb count)

 with Banza pasta for me (20 pieces. made from Chickpea)  Linguini for family.
